The best neighborhood in Merida depends on your needs and wants. Merida Centro (Downtown) is excellent If you want to be near all the historic buildings and colonial architecture. The North f you want a gated community and a new construction home.

Centro (Downtown) and Paseo Montejo

Here you will find you’ll find plenty of Airbnbs, hotels, restaurants, and tourist attractions. These two areas are designed for tourists and first-time visitors. The area is safe and enjoyable; however, most Aribnbs in the Downtown area are small and lack swimming pools. Parking is usually on the street. The Northern part of Downtown is less touristy but still close to major touristic sites.

North of Merida
