Where is Merida Located?

Merida is in the southeastern part of Mexico, in the Yucatan peninsula, and not far from some of the most popular Mexico travel destinations, including CancunTulum, and Playa del Carmen

The Yucatan peninsula in Mexico has three states: Yucatan, Campeche, and Quintana Roo. Merida is the capital of Yucatan State. A peninsula is a piece of land almost entirely surrounded by water but is connected to the mainland on one side, so in the case of Yucatan, the peninsula is surrounded to the north and west by the Gulf of Mexico. At the same time, the Caribbean stretches the length of the east coast.
